Parks & Leisure Australia (PLA) is established as the key professional association that represents parks and leisure professionals in Australia. It promotes and supports its members, their vocations and the parks and leisure industry through its role and leadership in advocacy, training, professional development opportunities and product innovation.

The PLA awards were established to encourage ongoing professional development and highlight the very high standard and range of best practice and innovation the industry offers. These awards have been recently reviewed by PLA and updated for the 2008 year. The PLA awards are now in their 10th Year and will be presented at the PLA National Conference in Melbourne 9-12 November 2008.

In staging these awards, PLA’s goal is to recognize excellence in management, innovation, contribution and achievement.
