Parks & Leisure Australia (PLA) is the leading professional association that represents parks and leisure professionals in Australia. It promotes and supports its members, their vocations and the parks and leisure industry through its leadership in advocacy, training, communication, professional development opportunities and product innovation.

The PLA Awards of Excellence were established to encourage professional development and highlight the very high standard and range of best practice and innovation the industry offers. These awards have been reviewed by PLA and updated for the 2009 year. The PLA awards are now in their 11th Year and will be presented at the PLA National Conference in Darwin 13-16 September 2009.

In staging these awards, PLA’s goal is to promote and recognize excellence in innovation, contribution and achievement.
